Loving Our Community. Making a Difference.
At Forward City Church, we give to give. We believe giving is an act of worship that extends God's love beyond the walls of our church and into our community and around the world. Every gift makes a difference, allowing us to serve those in need and share the love of Christ through meaningful outreach initiatives.
So far in 2026, we have supported efforts to combat sex trafficking right here in Columbia, assisted 9 villages in west Africa with a healthcare building, and created memorable community experiences through our Easter Family Day. Also, we have ben able provide benevolence assistance to individuals and families facing difficult seasons, host our very first community Family Movie Night, and invest in the next generation through SOAR Vacation Bible School.

LOCATION: Alcorn Middle School, Dent Middle School, Dreher High School, Hyatt Park Elementary School, John P. Thomas Elementary School, L.W. Conder Elementary School, Pontiac Elementary School, Richland Northeast High School, and Summit Parkway Middle School
THE HEART BEHIND : To show appreciation and affirmation to teachers, educators, and supporting staff members that they are valued for the important role they play in the lives of students and families. and not serving alone. Overall relationships were strengthened and everyone involved understood that they are not serving students alone; what they do matters.

THE HEART BEHIND: To share the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church and into the community. A joyful atmosphere of fellowship was created with family activities, food, games, and meaningful connections. Children, families, and community members experienced love, hope, joy, and generosity.

Backpack Drive / Teacher’s Supply Restock
GIVEN: $10,000.00 in resources.
LOCATION: Forward City Church
1100 backpacks given away. 350 families fed, 70 kids received back to school hairstyles.
THE HEART BEHIND: To provide educators (teachers) and students with backpacks and school essentials, helping families prepare for the new school year while reducing some of the financial burden associated with school supplies. Provided families with Food and kids received styles for back to school

Love Like Crazy Week: Nursing Home Visit, Gas Station, and Homeless Initiative
